Step 6. Navigate to your location on your desktop which was recorded in Step 4 above.

Step 7. Right click in your data file to be deleted, and then click Delete. (The file should have the green QuickBooks icon as shown here however you should also delete all of the files with that same file name ending with .qbw:)
